Over the past 5 years Calvary Baptist Church has enjoyed and fostered a relationship with Heaven's Way Church in Nambale, Kenya, Africa. Pastor David Muyoti leads as the shepherd of this beautiful congregation. He stays in regular contact with us via email, by Facebook Messenger, and through texts. These communications have allowed us to become increasingly familiar with one another, and to share the joys and challenges of our ministries. As sister churches, we constantly pray for one another.
During this time, we have sent a monthly financial gift to assist Brother David and his flock. These funds have been used primarily to purchase food and supplies for the orphans under his church's care. We have bought David a laptop computer and fund his ongoing Internet connection so that we can remain in touch. We have purchased a new bicycle for David, whereas before he was on foot, so that he might be able to visit the local widows and church members more easily.
Currently we are in the process of making 10 monthly payments of $400 each in order to acquire an acre of land, upon which the church might someday build a sanctuary for worship. Right now they meet outside or in a rented space. Finding a suitable plot of land that we could afford has been an answer to several years of prayer. Though we are moving together slowly, it is exciting to see God at work in Heaven's Way Church.
If you would like to give a donation toward this goal, we have set up a designated fund through our church specifically for this purpose. You can begin by clicking on the "Give" button in the menu bar above. On the next screen if you do not want to register, simply choose "Quick Give" to move on. You will then be able to enter your donation amount and credit card/debit card information. While doing this, be certain to change the "To: General Church Budget" to "To: Africa Missions" by using the appropriate drop-down menu. Make sure you have designated your gift to Africa Missions before clicking Submit.
Thank you for your gracious gift and help in making this important work possible. May God bless you.
